JOHN CALVIN "CAL" TARRANT, MBA - CFO/CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER - FOUNDER
Cal Tarrant serves as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Aerosol Science® Laboratories, Inc. Cal earned his MBA from the Graziadio School of Business and Management at Pepperdine University, one of the top MBA programs in the US with electives concentrated in finance. With the help of his wife, he launched his own successful company in the media industry, and has performed financial analysis in previous management positions. He has performed financial accounting, business planning, strategic planning, and corporate reporting, in addition to preparing marketing materials, presentations, and proposals to assist in revenue generation.

Being a strategic business manager known for getting results, exceptional work ethic and team spirit, Cal possesses excellent analytical and quantitative skills that include sales forecasting, ROI analysis, market research and consumer analysis. He has consulted for a firm in the areas of finance and marketing, which has recently gone public and will soon be launching further initiatives, which will finance and grow the organization. This publicly traded corporation is a conglomerate, which has operations within the health and beauty, investments and publishing industries. His management experience includes serving as Brand Manager for Regal Books, a book publisher. Recruited to this newly created position, he organized and structured the marketing for this organization.

His responsibilities included managing the product line and developing promotional plans and budgets. He worked with the sales team to forecast sales and drive revenue growth and provided leadership to the creative services team. He participated in content acquisition, P&L reviews, strategic planning, and led cross-departmental teams. In this role, he helped increase product line sales 37%, a key factor in driving the highest revenues in the company's history. He also generated additional income of over $1 million by implementing product line extension strategies, which in turn created new products based on intellectual property previously acquired. His competitive pricing analysis and recommendations led to immediate revenue increases. His analysis of marketing programs led to the elimination of wasteful, non-producing excesses. He created formal brand management processes, structures and procedures, which ultimately led to the profitability of the product line and the company. After improving the processes in place, he would then communicate to stakeholders through reports and present at regular quarterly strategic planning sessions with top management.

In the healthcare industry, Cal worked with New Life Clinics, a national chain of healthcare clinics as a Program Director and Intake Counselor. He restored a foundering seminar program to profitability, and worked closely with the company's President to create program protocols, including developing strategy, determining target markets and designing promotions. Cal also developed affiliate partnerships with 30 clinics across the US to develop referrals and increase revenue. Cal's most recent employment was at Royce Medical where he is responsible for internal direct sales to physicians' offices, healthcare clinics, hospitals, and surgery centers. With national responsibility for management of over 500 accounts in all 50 states, he has successfully accomplished a growth rate of 66%. Recognized as achieving one of the top sales to quota ratios and achieving 100% to goal for volume sales events, Cal's team maintains one of the highest closing ratios within exceeding growth goals. During this time, Royce Medical achieved annual sales of approximately $68 million with earnings (EBITDA) of $18 million, a margin of 26%. Royce recently sold to Ossur for $216 million (12 times earnings and 3.2 times sales). The new Ossur/Royce organization totals approximately $196 million in sales with EBITDA of $43 million.
